Aromatherapy

Blending plant extracts for therapeutic benefit. I take into account individual symptoms as well as emotional issues to create unique blends. These can be air diffused with a de-ionising aroma-warmer, massaged into the skin using a base oil in conjunction with massage, and also provided as oil blends, bath salts or other bespoke remedies for home use.

Baby Massage

Building bonds, fostering co-ordination, strength & flexibility. Baby massage improves communication, enables the infant to gain body awareness, as well as relief from sleeplessness, colic or other digestive issues, teething, etc. I incorporate baby yoga techniques into the massage to encourage gentle exercise for mums post labour.

Holistic Massage

Intuitive sessions incorporating many techniques. Each session is adapted to the client’s needs and emotions on that day. It can be gentle, nurturing and relaxing, or more vigorous, energising and deep. I listen with my hands, applying specific massage techniques appropriate to the individual during the treatment.

Holistic Facials

Tailored to your skin type and involving lymph drainage and acupressure, as well as aromatherapy oil blend and cleanse, tone, serum or masque and moisturise. Facials boost collagen production, giving the skin a plump, clear appearance, as well as removing dead cells or impurities from the pores. They also help to regulate sebum production, giving a more even texture.

Indian Head Massage

This treatment originated from the massage’s given traditionally by Indian barbers and also within families, It also draws on the wisdom of Ayurveda. The movements vary from very light stroking to deep kneading and cover the upper back, shoulders, neck, arms and head. Treatments can be relaxing and slow or very vigorous.

Traditional Thai Massage

Performed in clothing, on a floor mattress. The practitioner uses hands, feet & body weight to apply acupressure, palm presses are used to relax muscles and joints, and assisted stretches. Incredibly powerful in a short time, Thai massage works to remind the body of all the ways it is able to move, unlocking joints & creating space for healing on a deep level. Authentic Thai techniques adapted to each client’s level of flexibility & stamina.

Hot Stone Massage

Relieve deep tension through the penetrating action of heat combined with the enhanced pressure of the stones. It is said that one stroke applied using hot stones is equivalent to 5 manual massage strokes. The stones help balance the elemental forces within the body and create a sense of grounded safety. Encourages temperature regulation and detoxification as well as immediate stress relief.

Dynamic Bodywork

Can be performed with or without oil, draped or fully clothed, in any position where the client feels comfortable. Incorporating, passive stretches, rhythm-mobility, creative use of forearms, knuckles and the supple spine back care programme, each session is unique. It can help with range of movement, deep muscle tension or joint stiffness, rediscovering freedom of movement.

Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage

A sacred healing practice performed with the client draped in a sarong. The practitioner uses long flowing strokes over the length of the body. Forearms are often incorporated to give a deep pressure. The intention is to strengthen the flow of life energy for the client,  inviting kindness, acceptance & joy. The treatment allows us to connect with our bodies, release tension and work with deep emotions. Relaxing & rebalancing, releasing energy congestion. Reflexology encourages a balanced flow of subtle energy throughout the body. It can be used to pinpoint specific organs and help to relieve the symptoms of particular ailments, or can be employed to give an overall sense of wellbeing. Several clinical trials have shown its effectiveness for pain relief, relaxation and relief of anxiety.
